FLINT, MI--- Employment Networking Solutions is an organization providing workshops to help prepare young people in the Flint area for job opportunities.
The training program will take place at Joy Tabercacle Church's Urban Renaissance Center.
LaRosa Patrick, executive director of Employment Networking Solutions, says the new program will offer many different workshops.
Patrick says, "we're going to assist them with soft skills. Like team building skills, effective communication. not only that; but conflict resolution. As we know that is so needed in our community."
She says instilling these positive lessons early helps teenagers understand life.
"They'll understand work ethics and have a more positive direction in their life," Patrick says.

The new program is called "Positive Vibes" and Patrick says Mayor Sheldon Neeley inspired her choice in naming the program.
Patrick says, "he put up postings and signs and it was something about positive Flint, thinking positive. We're pouring positivity into our youth and we know we have to do it with a collaboration."
One key component to this new program can save someone's life, Patrick says.
"Our youth will be getting first aid and CPR trained and all of the training is American Red Cross first aid and CPR training," she says.
Patrick says other organizations see the need for these programs and have collaborated with Employment Networking Solutions to make the workshops possible.
She says, "we have collaborated with Donations with Love, they are a nonprofit organization in the Flint community. They will be providing the drug and medication training."

Robert S. McCathern is Joy Tabernacle's Pastor and Executive Director of Urban Renaissance Center where the workshops will take place.
McCathern says he's excited to host this new program because it is very needed for our youth right now.
"We have these computer labs, we have a studio, and she'll have access to all of our workings, everything here," McCathern says.
He also says the workshops will teach youth an important skills for a job setting.
He says, "It's such a need in flint for employment, for poise. What I find is what she is able to do is help create that social poise."
The program is open to all youth ages 15 to 24 within the Flint area and Director Patrick tells me it should begin in late March.
